Want a new job? 2 Urbana manufacturing firms hiring


Rittal and Ultra-met, two Champaign County manufacturing firms, are scheduled to host job fairs this month in coordination with OhioMeansJobs Champaign County.

Rittal will host open interviews from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at OhioMeansJobs Champaign County, 1512 S. U.S. 68, Bay 14. Starting wages are listed at $12.50 per hour and the business is hiring for first, second and third shifts.

Open positions will include assembly operators, welders, machine operators, warehouse associates and material handlers. Hiring managers will be on site, and applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring copies of a resume.

Benefits will begin on the first of the month, according to a flier from Rittal.

Ultra-met will host interviews from noon to 3 Thursday, Feb. 15, also at OhioMeansJobs Champaign County. Wages start at $13.62 per hour, and benefits include health and dental coverage and tuition reimbursement.
