Fanny-pack-wearing friend steals show at Dayton wedding

A Dayton man is getting national attention for tossing flowers, wearing fanny packs and generally stealing the show at the Oct. 7 wedding of some friends.

ABC News, Yahoo Lifestyle and others picked up the story of Jake Clark’s wedding escapades.

Clark donned a trio of fanny packs — maybe more, who’s counting? — and tossed and more than a few petals and some leaves at the wedding of friends Amanda and Daniel DeDoncker.

It was an adults-only ceremony, so Clark volunteered to take over a job usually handled by young girls.

And his friends took him up on the offer.

Bride Amanda DeDoncker told ABC that Clark "rocked the role so well."

“Jake was so serious. That was the best part about it,” she said. “That’s his personality too. When he picks a role, he is full blown in it. It was great.”

“I figured if I’m going to be a flower man, I’m going to go all out — go big or go home,” Clark told Yahoo.

Clark is a marketing manager at Vivial. He seems to be taking the sudden attention in stride.

“What? You thought the madness was done?,” he wrote in a Facebook post Saturday. “Not a chance. Ashton Kutcher’s news site just did an article. And no, you aren’t getting punked right now.”
