Huber Heights manufacturer will add 42 employees in tax credit deal

A manufacturer in Huber Heights has received a tax credit from the state, and is expected to create 42 full-time positions.

NDC Technologies, which develops and produces process measurement and control instruments, is expected to generate $3.1 million in new annual payroll and retain $5.6 million in existing payroll under the tax credit.

The California-based manufacturer is consolidating its production and administration functions and moving its headquarters in Irwindale, Cal., to Huber Heights.

The Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.67 percent, seven-year job creation tax credit for the company’s project. The Huber Heights location has about 70 employees.

The company already has a presence in Huber Heights at 8001 Technology Blvd. A company statement said the move is “part of an ongoing strategy to drive simplification in business processes to become more agile, further improve global execution and place even greater focus on serving customers and developing new products.”

The facility in Irwindale will not close, but will undergo infrastructure improvements to transform into the company’s new Web Process Solutions Technical Centre of Excellence. NDC also has a manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom, and direct sales and support facilities in China, Japan, France, Germany and Italy.

“We are rolling out a phased plan to ease the transition and to ensure continuity of good customer service,” said Dave Roland, president of NDC Technologies.

NDC provides measurement and control systems, which are used in the food, chemicals, pharmaceutical and tobacco industries. The company also works to offer solutions for measurements in the cable, metals and tubing industries.
