Kettering Health Network will unveil its new cancer center on Dec. 7 during a ribbo
n-cutting ceremony and open house for elected officials and community members, the health system announced Tuesday.
The $53 million, 120,000 square-foot, five-story, comprehensive cancer c
enter is located in the new Pavilion building at 3700 Southern Blvd. in Kettering, across the street from Kettering Medical Center.

The ribbon-cutting will be held at 10 a.m., followed by an open house later that afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Clinical staff will conduct tours of the new facility during the open house, which will feature a taste-testing of nutrient-enriched food from the center’s Café of Hope designed specifically to meet the unique nutritional needs of cancer patients.
The cancer center will also house the area’s largest infusion center for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, and will be home to more than 30 cancer physician specialists working together to meet the needs of cancer patients.
The cancer center is scheduled to open Dec. 13.
