Local restaurant to sell $1 pretzel hot dogs this week

A local restaurant that sells pretzels will celebrate National Hot Dog Day on Wednesday by selling pretzel hot dogs for $1 all day long.

Dayton Philly Pretzel Factory, which is located at 1063 S. Main St. in Centerville, will also give the first 100 people to buy pretzel dogs on Wednesday a special perk — they’ll also get $1 pretzel dogs each day in August.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Americans will eat 7 billion hot dogs, or 818 hot dogs per second, according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council. The location open in November, and is the first in the Dayton region.

Philly Pretzel Factory’s menu includes the traditional Philly style pretzel, pretzel twists, mini pretzels, rivets, pretzel dogs, and other items. Dips include mustard, melted cheese, honey mustard, chocolate, cinnamon, butter cream, marinara sauced and Philly cream sauce.
