Manufacturing company asks for $150K from city for airport project

The Dayton City Commission on Wednesday will vote whether to contributed $150,000 to STP Products Manufacturing Co. to support consolidating the company’s operations at the Dayton International Airport.

STP Products plans to move into a 570,000-square-foot facility on the airport’s property, creating about 345 new jobs over about six years, according to city documents.

The company, which manufactures automotive products, will invest at least $5.4 million into the facility for equipment, machinery and other improvements, the documents state.

The city is looking at contributing $150,000 in financial support, and Montgomery County has approved $100,000 in ED/GE funds.
