75 medical, metal-working positions available in Butler, Warren

The Harris Products Group, a world leader in metal working products used in the brazing, soldering, welding, cutting and gas distribution industries, is looking to hire approximately 20 machine operators and five maintenance technicians immediately for second, third and rotating shifts.

All positions at The Harris Group are permanent, full-time opportunities at the company, which is headquartered in Mason. Salary for machine operators starts at $15 an hour and the company will train motivated applicants, according to HR recruiter Whitney Read.

Maintenance technicians start at $18 an hour and should have two years of related experience and/or training, Read said. Both positions require a high school diploma or GED.

“We also include shift differentials, lead pay, and have an annual performance-based bonus opportunity,” Read said. “Other positions available are listed under the career section of our website, which is also where they can apply.”

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, The Harris Products Group was formed in 2006 with the merger of Harris Calorific Inc., a manufacturer of gas welding and cutting equipment and gas regulation and distribution systems since 1905 , and the J.W. Harris Co., a manufacturer of brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables founded in 1914.

The Harris Products Group currently operates manufacturing facilities in Gainesville, Ga; Dzierzonow, Poland; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, Harris has a worldwide network of distributors and sales offices covering more than 90 countries.

Types of positions for which the company periodically recruits include manufacturing operations, engineering, sales and marketing, maintenance, machine operations and assembly, and packaging and shipping.

The company plans to hold a hiring event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. at OhioMeansJobs-Butler County, 4691 Dixie Highway, Fairfield.

Also hiring is Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus, which is looking to fill several positions for its Transitional Care Center.

The fourth floor of the campus opened in 2015 and the center, which is scheduled to open in February, will include a variety of positions including respiratory therapists and registered nurses, according to Cincinnati Children’s officials.

“At the Transitional Care Center, we provide comprehensive, coordinated care for medically complex pulmonary patients and their families,” according to Cincinnati Children’s website. “Our goal is to achieve medical stabilization and to provide family support, education and resources that allow patients and families to successfully manage care at home. We treat children of all ages who have pulmonary conditions that require tracheotomies and long-term ventilatory support.”
