Ohio Impact: Sears Holdings to close another 103 Kmart, Sears stores

Two stores in Ohio have been impacted by another round of store closures announced by Sears Holdings.

The retailer informed employees that another 103 Kmart and Sears stores will closed. Approximately 64 Kmart stores and 39 Sears stores will close between early March and early April. One Kmart store and one Sears store will close in Ohio.

• Kmart at 2100 Niles Cortland Road in Warren will close in early April

“We will continue to close some unprofitable stores as we transform our business model so that our physical store footprint and our digital capabilities match the needs and preferences of our members,” the company said in a statement.

Sears has several locations in the Miami Valley, including anchor stores at the Dayton Mall and the Mall at Fairfield Commons and the Miami Valley Centre Mall in Piqua. All local Kmart stores have already closed.
