HOW MANY OHIO STUDENTS ARE VACCINATED?

Every school in Ohio is required each October to send the Department of Health vaccination information about their kindergartners, seventh graders and any students who are new to the district.

The database below represents what was reported to the health department for the 2014-15 school year. About 90 percent of the more than 8,000 schools in Ohio submitted reports.

Because the information is self-reported, there may be errors including misspelled school names or districts, wrong addresses, and missing data.

ODH also redacted some information citing federal privacy laws. Any redacted numbers are marked with an *.

BY LOCATION

Click on a marker to see stats for kindergartners at each school. Some markers might not be in the exact right location because schools listed mailing addresses or district office addresses instead of their physical location.

  • Green markers: Below state average exemption rate of 1.8 percent.
  • Yellow markers: Between 1.8 percent and 5 percent.
  • Red markers: Above 5 percent, where health officials say group immunity diminishes.
