Dayton native lands major role in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Dayton native Luke Grimes will sink his teeth into what is sure to be one of 2015’s juiciest films.

The “True Blood” actor will play billionaire bondage aficionado Christian Grey’s brother, Elliot, in the film version of E.L. James’ bestselling book “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

We last wrote about Grimes, a former cast member of ABC drama “Brothers & Sisters,” in August.

The Dayton Christian High School grad’s father Randy is pastor of Open Bible Christian Church in Dayton.

“We always knew Luke was different, special and gifted,” Randy Grimes told us when interviewed about his son’s current role as James on HBO’s vampire drama "True Blood."

The Fifty Shades of Grey cast is shaping up to be a good one.

Dakota Johnson will play the role of Anastasia Steele literally against Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.

Marcia Gay Harden will play Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive mother of Christian, Mia and Elliot Grey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The erotic drama is being filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and is expected to hit theaters in early 2015.
