Dayton restaurant to host ‘Lunch with Santa’ during December


A downtown Dayton pizzeria and Italian restaurant is offering families six opportunities over the next three weekends to have lunch with Santa.

Uno Pizzeria and Grill at 126 N. Main St. Families will host the special “Lunch with Santa” events at 11 a.m. on Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17. Reservations are required for the lunches, and can be made by calling (937) 910- 8000.

The downtown Dayton restaurant has several other special offers and events this month. From now through Jan. 1, Uno Pizzeria and Grill will offer a special holiday menu that includes items such as steak and lobster Florentine, lobster and shrimp scampi, and haddock and lobster Florentine.

The restaurant is also hosting what it calls a “DecemBEER and Pizza Fest” from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 6-7. Described as a celebration of craft beer and handcrafted pizza, the offer will feature an American craft beer and small pizza combination for $10. Dayton Beer Company will offer samples of its beer during the festival.

A gift card promotion also is running through Christmas. For every $25 gift card purchased, patrons will receive an additional $5 voucher that can be used starting in January.

There is no fee for booking holiday gatherings at Uno.

“With a full-service bar and ample room, we can accommodate large groups,” said Joe Kiley, the restaurant’s general manager. “We offer specialized menu options, created to meet the group’s preferences, buffet-style parties and catering service.”
