A Taste of Wine, 90 S. Main St., in Miamisburg, will pair wines with five different types of Girl Scout cookies during a special event 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, said Brandi Schneider, the shop's social media manager and a sales associate.

Urmila Holloway, the shop's owner, will lead the tasting, Schneider said.

Schneider saw the idea on Pinterest and told Holloway about it.

"I thought it was a fun and fantastic idea," Holloway said. "This time of year is so ucky. It is nice to find something fun to do, especially with this awful weather."

Schneider said Shortbread/Trefoils, Thin Mints, Savannah Smiles (lemon cookies),

Caramel deLites/Samoas and Do-si-dos /Peanut Butter Sandwich will each be paired with a different wine.

“We have a couple of whites. We have a couple of reds. We have a sweet wine,” she said.

The Do-si-dos will be paired with a jammy red to create a peanut butter and jelly effect, Schneider said.

There is space for about 30 tasters.

Schneider said those interested can call 937-247-1120 to RSVP.
