After serving a ton or more of crab — literally — during its "All-You-Can-Eat" crab special on Fridays during Lent, Basil's on Market's downtown Dayton restaurant had extended the special offer on Wednesday nights through summer.
The promotion will be available from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Basil's on Market Dayton general manager Jason Kirkwood said. The deal includes all-you-can-eat crab legs and side dishes for $30.

The special offer proved to be quite popular during Lent, as customers plowed through a half-ton or more of crab every Friday night.

Basil’s on Market is located at 312 N. Patterson Blvd. at East Monument Avenue, where it shares a building with PNC Bank overlooking the Great Miami River. It’s part of the Water Street mixed-use development along the river.

The 4,800-square-foot restaurant seats 150 to 160 inside, and another 120 or so on a 2,200-square-foot patio overlooking the river and its fountains. Basil’s on Market also operates a restaurant-pub in Troy that opened in 2014.
