Nine people were shot in Columbus at J&R Party Hall as the result of an argument. Five females and four males were transported for treatment to Grant Medical Center and the Ohio State University Hospital. Reports indicated two people were critically injured.

The early-morning shooting at Cameo Night Club in Cincinnati claimed the life of 27-year-old O'Bryan Spikes and injured Trotwood's Jarrod Givens and Jordan "Lyrik" Hardaway. With 17 people injured, it is the nation's largest mass shooting so far in 2017.
July 24, 2016
Eight people were shot, one fatally, at Doubles Bar in Hamilton. Days after the shooting, two men were killed in a related drive-by shooting in Hamilton, which was a murder for hire, according to court records.
April 22, 2016
The massacre of eight members of the Rhoden family in Pike County was the largest mass killing in the United States during 2016. In the year since the killings, 10-12 investigators were in the county any given week, tracking down more than 800 tips, taking 400 interviews — including multiple interviews of the same individuals — and executing 38 search warrants, yet no arrests have been made in the mysterious case.
