Beavercreek to discuss proposed mall special improvement district

Tonight, Beavercreek City Council will discuss a proposed special improvement district for the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

The special improvement district would fund energy improvements at the mall, according to city documents.

No decision will be made at tonight’s meeting.

Discussions about the special improvement district follows major renovations and the announcement of new stores set to open at the mall. Francesca’s, a women’s clothing and accessories store, was scheduled to open on Oct. 15. The store s located next to JCPenny and Gamestop.

Fusian, a fast food sushi restaurant, will open a new location in the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek in early 2017.
