Sgt. Roger Cooper said Lynch worked for Springfield-based Meade’s Paving & Sealcoating, 827 Dilbert Ave., and that the dump truck was a work vehicle.

At the time of the crash, Cooper said Lynch’s dump truck and another dump truck and trailer were parked partially in the northbound lanes of Ohio 56. Lynch had been directing traffic around the dump trucks when troopers said the woman driving the car did not leave enough space behind the vehicle ahead of her and struck the dump truck, a pickup and Lynch, 10tv.com reported.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected, and no citations have been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
