Centerville apartment complex shooting: What we know now about the three involved

One man went to the hospital in critical condition after multiple shots were fired inside and outside a Centerville apartment Friday morning by apparently two separate shooters, according to police.

What we know now:

Shots fired: Centerville police were dispatched at about 2:50 a.m. to a reported shooting at 58 Chase Drive. The address is just off Main Street at the Chevy Chase Park Apartments.

Started with dispute: Two men had a dispute inside an apartment resulting in one man shot within the dwelling, according to Centerville police.

Shot in abdomen: Upon arrival, police located Aaron L. Davis, 26, of Dayton in a basement with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Second shooter: Investigators believe as the first suspected shooter, Anthony J. Walker, 32, of Dayton was attempting to leave the complex, a second shooter fired at least eight shots at him. Police have identified the second shooter as Devon H. Taylor, 32, from Dayton. According to Centerville Police, Taylor chased after Walker and fired multiple gunshots at Walker and his vehicle. Police tape and a number of evidence markers were visible near a parking area outside a two-story apartment building on the north side of the complex Friday morning and at least one car at the scene appeared to have been damaged by gunfire.

Two in custody: Walker drove to the Centerville police station and turned himself in. Taylor was detained at the scene by police. Both are in custody at the Montgomery County Jail awaiting a prosecutor's office review of potential charges including felonious assault.

Man transported to hospital: Davis was taken to a hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.

No danger to public: Centerville Police Department Public Information Officer John Davis said people involved know each other so the incident wasn't random. "There's no danger to the public," he said.
