Cheer for Trump or thank Obama: Butler County events for inauguration

Those who want to celebrate the inauguration of Donald Trump in Butler County — at a cost of $25 per ticket — can at Uno's in West Chester Twp.

West Chester Twp. Trustee Mark Welch is hosting the inauguration celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the pizzeria, located at 9246 Schulze Drive, where a replay of the inauguration will be aired. The inauguration for the 45th president of the United States is at noon.

However, if you want to see the inauguration live — and want to be around those who supported Trump’s run to the White House — there are a couple of watch parties in the region.

For those who want to say "Thank You" to President Barack Obama for his eight years of service, there will be a Happy Hour Reception hosted by the Butler County Democrats on Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Murphy's Landing, 6 S. Broad St. in Middletown. Organizers ask people to wear their Obama campaign shirts, hats, or buttons.

The Democratic Party said it will also ask people to sign up to join the “Trump Resistance Effort” at the event.

Do you know of any other local inauguration watch parties? If you do, email michael.pitman@coxinc.com the details.
