  • 'Signal 99', a call for assistance, issued by deputies
  • 2 men, Deonta Jones and Eric Daughtery, arrested
  • Robert Black, 29, suffered from a cut to the mouth
  • No suspect information available

According to the report, around closing one of the dancers at the strip club accused a man attending the birthday party of stealing her money.

The report goes on to say that some women attending the birthday began to argue with each other over the accusation and eventually a scuffle between some of the men and women attending the party occurred in the parking lot of the business.

Deputies initially responded to a report of a person shot in the parking lot, but once officers arrived they determined that the victim, Robert Black, 29, had a cut to his mouth area and required transport to Grandview Medical Center for treatment, according to the report.

When deputies arrived on the scene they issued a call for extra assistance “due to the crowd pushing and shoving each other and refusing to listen to the numerous deputies and officers,” the report said.

Deputies arrested two men, Deonta Jones and Eric Daughtery, for obstructing official business and disorderly conduct, according to jail records.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the parking lot of the business and were able to determine that Black may have been injured during an argument between two groups, but were not able to develop any suspect information, the report said.
