Centerville 3rd grader brings knife on bus

A third grader at John Hole Elementary School is facing disciplinary action after he brought a knife onto the school bus Tuesday.

Centerville Superintendent Tom Henderson said the student had the knife in his backpack and never threatened anyone on the bus, however school officials were notified and immediately investigated the incident.

“[It’s a] young student. Obviously made a poor choice,” Henderson said.

The district’s school resource officer was involved in the investigation and the school is continuing to investigate the incident.
