Clark County student charged in connection with school threat

An unsubstantiated threat caused Kenton Ridge High School officials to order a temporary shelter in place Monday, according to Northeastern Local Schools Superintendent John Kronour.

Kronour declined to release specific details about the threat, but said it came from a student who is now facing disciplinary action as a result.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the threat was found in one of the school’s bathrooms. A female student has been charged with one count of disorderly conduct by the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office.

No students were ever in danger, Kronour said.
