Kettering shooting is 6th by cop this year; here are the others

Sunday’s fatal shooting by a Kettering police officer was the sixth officer-involved shooting in the region this year, according to the I-Team’s searchable database of area officer-involved shootings.

This is the first incident involving Kettering police in the database, which goes back to 1995.

SEARCH THE DATABASE: When police fire: Officer-involved shootings

The I-Team started tracking officer-involved shootings in 2014 after a series of high-profile police shootings here and across the country, including the fatal shooting of John Crawford in Beavercreek. The I-Team continued monitoring officer-involved shootings because no agency is responsible for tracking that information.
