Masked, armed man robs Marathon station in Fairborn

Fairborn police are investigating after a masked, armed man robbed the Marathon gas station late Monday night.

Officers were dispatched to the store at 750 East Xenia Drive just after 11 p.m. Monday after a clerk reported a robbery.

A man wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a mask entered the business, displayed a black handgun and demanded cash, Fairborn police said in a media release.

The man made off with an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the area on foot.

Police said a K9 officer from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office attempted to track the suspect, but was not located.

No injuries were reported and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Fairborn police at 754-3000.
