The Ohio Highway Patrol seized 200 pounds of pot and arrested a woman from California during a traffic stop last week in Preble County.

Nancy Jean Thompson, 62, of Groveland, Cali., is facing a felony drug possession charge and is being held in the Preble County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Thompson was driving a 2005 Ford F-250 with Nevada registration when she was stopped on I-70 the afternoon of Nov. 22, according to the patrol.

Two hundred pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $1 million, was found during a search of the vehicle, according to the patrol.

If convicted, Thompson faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison and a fine up to $15,000.
