Shot was fired on University of Cincinnati campus, police chief says

UPDATE @ 10:15 p.m.: One shot was fired on the University of Cincinnati campus, but no one was injured and no suspect has been apprehended, UC Director of Public Safety James Whalen said in an email to campus tonight.

UPDATE @ 9:56 p.m.: The University of Cincinnati shelter in place alert for a report of shots fired has been lifted. No injuries have been reported.

University of Cincinnati students have been told to shelter in place after a report of shots fired on campus, the university’s police officials said.

UCPD issued the order, which also advises students to stay away from windows and to lock doors, after a report of shots fired on campus and a suspect seen running toward Marge Schott Stadium (baseball), according to our news partner at WCPO.com.
