Springfield man accused of biting woman’s face

A Springfield man is facing assault charges after he allegedly bit a woman he knows in the face last week.

Israel R. Scott IV, 20, of 1374 W. Pleasant St., appeared in the Clark County Municipal Court on Monday but his case was continued. He’s set to appear again at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Springfield Police Division officers were sent to the intersection of Stanton Avenue and Murray Street about 10:30 p.m. Friday on a report of a car that was left on the curb with its door open.

A young girl then walked out of a home in the 700 block of Stanton Avenue to tell police someone had just bit her mother in the face.

Scott was allegedly in a loud argument with the entire family when officers entered the home, the report says. A witness told police Scott allegedly pulled a woman’s hair and bit her left cheek as she was walking down a hallway, it says.

Scott was arrested and ordered into court.
