A Springfield man has been accused of inappropriately touching a woman outside a restaurant.

“(The son) stated he pushed Mr. Chapa down and told him not to get up until police arrived,” a police affidavit says.

Police arrested Chapa, and then interviewed the woman who said she was smoking when her attacker touched her.

“(The victim) stated she does not know Mr. Chapa and has never seen him prior to this incident,” the affidavit says.

The victim told police that Chapa attempted to hug her and then grabbed her.

Chapa was due in Court on Tuesday but didn’t show. An arrest warrant was issued and his bond was set at $500.
