Springfield man accused of posting minor’s naked photo on Facebook

A Springfield man has been accused of posting a naked photo of a minor on Facebook because she refused to give him money, according to a police report.

Raymar Thompson, 21, of Springfield, has been charged this week with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

CRIME: 74-year-old Springfield man accused of choking man over lawnmower

The charge stems from a March incident where a girl reported to her guardian that a naked photo of her had been posted on Facebook.

“The witness … stated that the (child victim) came into her bedroom early morning on March 30 crying, stating that the defendant had posted the pictures and then deleted them,” the police report says.

Police said they interviewed the juvenile and she reiterated her claims to police. She told them that Thompson and her had been talking via text messages and that Thompson allegedly had become angry with her because she would not “pay his way back to Ohio.”

“The defendant started to warn the child victim and started sending pictures of what he was going to post on Facebook,” the report says. “The defendant then advised the child victim that he was going to expose her and told her to go look.

“The child victim stated that she located the pictures, which she identified as her,” the reports says.

The pictures were of the victim’s private area, the report states. The victim saved the photos on Facebook before Thompson deleted them, the report says. Police were given this evidence along with the texts, police said.
