Surveillance released from Dayton shoe store robbery

Officers responded to the Shoe Trends store, 4227 West Third Street, around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on a reported robbery.

A male suspect came in and gave the clerk a note that said to give him the money out of the register, according to a police report.

The report said the male put a black plastic bag on the counter and said “give it here, give me what you got.”

The suspect took the bag with the money and the note and fled the store walking south and then east on West Third Street, according to the report.

A worker at the store told police between $400 and $500 dollars was taken.

The male suspect was described as a 5-foot-7 to 6-foot tall male weighing about 160-180 pounds with medium build. He was wearing a mostly green, but multicolored jacket, black slacks and black shoes.
