New report puts 4 Miami Valley high schools in Top 50 in Ohio. Is your school on the list?

A recent report by U.S. News and World Report ranked high schools across the nation based on how well each high school performed on state assessments and prepared their students for college.

The list also broke down the best high schools for each state and the District of Columbia.

Below are the high schools in the Miami Valley that were listed in the Top 50 in the state of Ohio.

Oakwood High School is ranked No. 21 in Ohio with a College Readiness Index of 54.1 and a participation in Advanced Placement (AP) courses at a rate of 64 percent. Nationally, the school is ranked No. 560.

Coming in at No. 25 in Ohio is Yellow Springs High School with a College Readiness Index of 53.5 and a participation in AP courses at a rate of 76 percent. Nationally, the school is ranked no. 584.

Mason High School is ranked No. 26 in Ohio with a College Readiness Index of 51 and an AP participation rate of 56 percent. Nationally, the school is ranked No. 678.

Coming in at No. 42 is Stivers School for the Arts with a College Readiness Index of 41.7 and a participation in AP courses at a rate of 60 percent. Nationally, the school is ranked No. 1,120.

Lakota West High School is ranked No. 56 in the state of Ohio with a College Readiness Index of 37.7 and an AP participation rate of 40 percent. Nationally, the school is ranked No. 1,346.
