A Miami Twp. restaurant will unveil several new menu items at its grand reopening today after closing for three weeks for a $600,000 renovation.
The Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern at 2812 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) just outside the Dayton Mall closed Aug. 19 for the renovations. It is scheduled to reopen at 11 a.m. today, and will donate 20 percent of its profits from the entire day to Crayons to Classrooms, which provides school supplies at no cost to teachers of students in need.
The improvements included an updated three-sided bar, an all-season patio that includes heaters and a fireplace, and a new private dining room that seats up to eight guests. It also includes new wood tables and chairs, black leather booths and upgraded lighting, Rusty Bucket officials said. A “video wall” large-screen projection television has been added, along with 12 additional draft-beer taps, doubling the number of draft beers on tap, which will now include Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, Fathead IPA, Great Lakes Seasonal and Sam Adams Seasonal.
The new menu items include an appetizer of Mussels in white wine, Thai Steak Salad, a Double Bacon Cheddar burger. The Blue Plate Special Backyard BBQ Ribs, previously available on Saturdays, have made their way to the menu everyday, restaurant officials said.
Rusty Bucket, founded in 2002 in Columbus, operates 14 locations in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, and is poised to open its 15th location in Mason in October. For more information about the Rusty Bucket’s Dayton Mall location, call (937) 436-2426.
