Kettering restaurant to host ‘first big wine event’

Serena Leventhal, co-owner of The Oakwood Tavern inside Neil’s Heritage House, calls it “our first big wine event:” a special “Mediterranean Getaway” wine tasting scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at the restaurant-tavern at 2323 W. Schantz Ave.

The tasting will include 21 wines available for sampling from three separate wine distributors (Cutting Edge Selections, 55 Degrees and Vintner Select), and Mediterranean-inspired hors d’oeuvres will be served. The wines will be available for purchase at state minimum prices, Leventhal said.
