Operating hours this week: Saturday, April 27 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) Closed April 28 for a private event. Friday and Saturday, May 3 and May 4 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.); Sunday, May 5 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Find a daily operating schedule online at www.visitkingsisland.com.

Closes for season: Oct. 27
New this year: The Reds Hall of Fame Grille, a full-service Reds themed restaurant featuring memorabilia. Menu items include burgers and Montgomery Inn pulled pork and ribs. The World’s Largest Animatronic Dinosaur is also being added. The Sauroposeidon, the length of three school buses and height of a six-story building. Four of the six live shows are also new this year.
Last year’s upgrades: A $10 million expansion and redesign of the waterpark now named Soak City. Soak City opens on May 25 and is included with park admission.
Be sure to purchase: The new souvenir drink bottle that provides free Coca-Cola product refills the day of purchase and 99 cent refills for the remainder of the season.
