FOUND: Missing 87-year-old Dayton man


UPDATE @ 2:49 p.m. 10/18/2016:

FOUND: Missing Dayton man, Sylvester Yarbrough, 87, was found at a hospital in Highland County earlier today.

FIRST REPORT @ 4:17 a.m. 10/18/2016:

A Missing Adult Alert has been issued for an 87-year-old Dayton man with dementia.

Police are looking for Sylvester Yarbrough, who was last seen at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Yarbrough, of Cambridge Avenue, left his home at that time and did not return.

Yarbrough is described as a black male, 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing dark blue Dickey pants, a neon green crew-neck T-shirt with Hauser on it, a camo ball cap, black work boots and he uses a burgundy cane.

Yarbrough was driving a black/tan 2008 Cadillac DTS, with Ohio license plate number GQA3525.

Anyone with information on Yarbrough is urged to call 1-866-693-9171 or 911.

A working fire has been reported in Dayton.  The fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. on Orleans Street near Albany Street. A cause of the fire has not been released.

XENIA — More than 200 Xenia residents were without power on Sunday as Dayton Power & Light worked to replace an underground cable and a transformer, according to a DP&L official. Heavy rain on Friday may have caused the equipment to fail.  Most of the customers had their power restored by 4:40 a.m. on Monday, according to DP&L.
