Home care company to lay off 257 in Ohio, more than half in southwest Ohio

A company with operations in Butler County will lay off 257 people in Ohio, more than half of them in southwest Ohio.

Personal Touch Home Care of Ohio, Inc. informed the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services’ Office of Workforce Development that is terminating operations in Fairfield Twp., Eaton, Independence and Wooster.

That will mean a loss of 131 jobs in Fairfield Twp. and 37 jobs in Eaton.

In a letter received Feb. 14, Personal Touch Home Care company CEO Rob Caione said the company anticipates that all of the separations will occur on April 20 and that the layoffs will be permanent.
