Butler County experienced a year-to-date decrease of 11.6 percent, with 404 total permits, compared to 457 at this point last year. Hamilton County also dropped 9.4 percent year to date. A total of 339 single-family permits have been issued in the county through August, compared to 374 in 2016.
Warren County continues to have the most overall number of permits with a total of 918 single-family permits from January through August, a 33.4 percent increase. Clermont County led all four counties for the second month in a row registering a 36 percent increase with a total of 302 single-family permits through August, compared to only 222 in 2016.
The top 10 markets for single-family home permits through August were Hamilton Twp. (Warren County), 220; Liberty Twp. (Butler County), 186; Mason (Warren), 119; Deerfield Twp. (Warren), 111; Clearcreek Twp. (Warren), 107; Turtlecreek Twp. (Warren), 95; Batavia Twp. (Clermont County), 86; West Chester Twp. (Butler), 58; Hamilton (Butler), 57; South Lebanon (Warren), 55.
