Images reveal scenes of Pike County six months after killings shocked Ohio

The gravesite is simple, with small gray markers and family pictures covered in plastic.

There, six of eight Rhoden Family members killed in rural Pike County in April are buried. It's just one of the somber scenes visitors to the area experience.

Six months after the still-unsolved murders, the Dayton Daily News visited the area to investigate where the investigation stands and how family members and residents are coping.
The in-depth report, publishing later this week, will explore the environment of rumors and hope for some slice of justice in the case.
Pastor Phil Fulton of Union Hill Church said the community is concerned that the murders may never be solved. Faith in law enforcement is low, he said, but they try to help each other.

“We’re hoping for somebody to just come up and say, ‘We have some evidence,’ ” he said. “That’s been my prayer. Somebody knows. We know that.”
