Kettering vice mayor honored by national group

Kettering Vice Mayor Robert Scott was named a member of the AAPC’s 2017 Class of 40 under 40.

Scott, along with 39 others were recognized as the “best and brightest young professionals working in the United States” by the American Association of Political Consultants, a bipartisan network of business professionals.

“We are delighted to welcome our class of 2017—40 exceptional individuals who have made an impact in the political industry and their communities early in their careers,” said AAPC President Mark Mellman in a statement. “We are excited to honor this class at a special event sponsored by Facebook, a fitting partner who exemplifies the same spirit of innovation as our distinguished Award winners.”

Scott is the founder of the Dayton Tea Party, former Montgomery County Republican Party Chair and a 2000 graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School. He also was a deputy campaign manager for President Donald Trump’s campaign in Ohio.

Selected from more than 200 nominations, the winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony, courtesy of Facebook, during the 2017 Pollie Awards & Conference in Huntington Beach, Calif. on Tuesday, March 14.
