Granny Birkle’s Sweet Potato Casserole
3 large sweet potatoes
½ cup milk
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanillia
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup pecan, chopped
1/3 cup flour
½ cup cold butter
1. Cook sweet potatoes, remove skins and mash, measure 3 cups and put in a mixing bowl, add remaining ingredients, mix till smooth.
2. Pour into a greased casserole dish.
3. For topping, combine brown sugar, flour and cold butter till crumbly, add pecans and sprinkle over top of sweet potato mixture.
4. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
