West Carrollton schools could be rebuilt

West Carrollton City Schools is looking at the possibility of rebuilding some schools.

The district's board of education Wednesday night is scheduled to consider applying for "an active planning process" with the Ohio School Facilities Commission, records show.

West Carrollton Superintendent Rusty Clifford said passage of the measure would start a process that may take two years or more.

Many of West Carrollton’s seven schools are more than 50 years old with the one most recently built – Harold Schnell Elementary – opening in 1969, when it was Valley Hills School, records show.
