A family member found a 4-year-old special-needs boy unresponsive this evening in a backyard swimming pool in Turtlecreek Twp.
The child, who is nonverbal, was being babysat at the home, where he does not reside, according to a deputy with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
His aunt who found him is a nurse, and she started CPR. The boy was taken in critical condition to Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus in Butler County. It was not clear how long he had been in the water, but he was conscious when he was taken to the hospital, deputies said.
The incident remains under investigation.
Crews are on scene at a home tonight after a 4-year-old child was pulled from a backyard swimming pool.
CPR was reportedly in progress while medics from the Turtlecreek Twp. Fire Department and Warren County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the house in the 3400 block of Greentree Road. The incident was reported just before 7 p.m., according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
