Three programs that help children in Beavercreek received big checks from the Kiwanis Club on Tuesday.

It was the year-end celebration for the club’s accomplishments in 2017, held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3520 Pentagon Park Blvd.

Checks for $1,500 each were given to Feed The Creek, a weekend food program for children; Beavercreek City Schools music program; and the Beavercreek Parks and Recreation camp scholarship program.

The funds were raised during Kiwanis’ fourth annual silent auction held in October.

"The children of Beavercreek are why we do what we do, and we are excited by the prospects for service in 2018," a post on the club's Facebook page reads.
