Officers responded to the home in the 200 block of Niagara Avenue in Dayton around 9:30 a.m. after the mother reported a bullet came through her bathroom wall, according to a police incident report.

Tiffany Taylor told investigators she was giving her 1-year-old son a bath when she heard a loud pop and found a hole in her wall just above the bathtub.

“The room filled with a dust cloud,” Taylor said.  “I looked up and there was a hole in the wall."

Taylor grabbed her son and immediately left the bathroom, police said.

The child was startled by what he heard, but did not suffer any injuries.

“It was just a miracle,” Taylor said.

Around the same time, police responded about a block away on Victor Avenue to a report of a dispute that ended with shots fired. Police said they were unable to connect the two incidents together.

No arrests have been made.
