Driver injured after crashing car into front of Dayton home

Dayton police said a driver was injured after slamming into the front of a house in the 300 block of West Fairview Avenue in Dayton Tuesday morning.

Investigators said the driver failed to navigate a curve in the roadway, continued straight, crashed into a porch, and rolled at least one time.

The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

Factors in the crash were still under investigation.

There were no reports of injuries from anyone inside the home.

FIRST REPORT

A driver was reportedly taken into police custody after crashing into the front of a house in the 300 block of West Fairview Avenue in Dayton.

Police and medics were dispatched to the home around 7 a.m. and reported a vehicle was on its side in a yard.

Our crew on the scene reports the car crashed into a front porch and severely damaged the front of the structure.

The driver was taken into police custody, but medics were asked to check them for injuries, according to scanner traffic.

There have been no reports of injuries from anyone inside the house.
