Christmas decorations stolen for second time in East Dayton

For the second time in two days Christmas decorations were reportedly stolen from an East Dayton neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 4600 block of Burkhardt Avenue around 6 p.m. after a woman returned home from work to find numerous holiday decorations missing from her yard, according to a Dayton police report.

The woman reported a 7-foot inflatable Santa, a 5-foot inflatable Mrs. Claus, an inflatable Rudolph, an inflatable abominable snowman and an inflatable Frosty the Snowman were plucked from the yard sometime between Sunday night and Monday when she returned home, the report said.

The report is the second in East Dayton this week involving Christmas decorations being stolen from yards.

A woman reported a 4-foot inflatable Santa being stolen from her yard on Fauver Avenue on Sunday, less than 2 miles from the most recent report.

No suspect descriptions have been released in either case.
