The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Vandalia Recreation Center, 1111 Stonequarry Rd.
The event is free. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be provided. There will also be a musical performance, and a visit from Santa. City officials hinted reindeer may bring Santa to the lighting.
