Deputies searching for Van Wert teen who reportedly stole mother’s car


The Van Wert Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 13-year-old who reportedly stole his mother’s car Sunday afternoon and is traveling along I-75 in Ohio.

David Gordon was last seen, according to his sister Lindsey Balliet, around 2 p.m. Sunday at his home in Van Wert.

Balliet said David and his mother were involved in an argument regarding his chores shortly before he took her Gold 2012 Chevy Equinox.

The Van Wert Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies are looking for the teen and had no further information at this time.

The SUV’s license plate number is ELA7748. Anyone with information regarding David’s location is encouraged to call the Van Wert Sheriff’s Office at (419)-238-3866.
