The latest on the Pike County shootings

It has been three weeks since Pike County experienced a community tragedy, with eight of their own slain in their homes.

Here are three developments that took place this week:

1. Homes to be moved

Three of the four mobile homes where eight victims of the Rhoden family were killed have been moved to a secure location, according Attorney General Mike DeWine. The fourth home will be secured in the next few days.

Officials and DeWine’s concern for the preservation of the crime scenes and evidence prompted the move

2. 911 caller

The woman who called 911 after finding her nephew and his fiancé dead in their bed speaks (out) about the ordeal. Bobby Jo Manley wept as she recounted taking the two boys, an infant and a 3-year-old, out of the home where their parents had been murdered.

“I was not leaving those babies in there. All I wanted was to get those babies out of there,” Manley told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

3. DeWine and officials ask for public's help

On Tuesday, DeWine asked for any security footage the public might have, hopefully any video from businesses or homes that show the road leading to the crime scenes.

Videos that were submitted by Pike County residents have aided officials in their investigation.
