EARLIER:
Members of a union that represents nearly 135 bus drivers, cooks, custodians and aides for Fairborn City Schools are voting tonight on a new contract offer.
The Dayton Public Service Union contract with the district expired June 30.
If members approve the deal, Fairborn board of education members are expected to approve a resolution to implement the agreement during a 7 p.m. special meeting.
If members reject the contract, they could authorize a strike.
Fairborn Superintendent Mark North said: “I felt we had a very positive, very up-front and transparent negotiation with their leadership team.”
