Traffic has increased along residential streets in neighborhoods closest to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base since State Route 444 was relocated, according to the release. Recent traffic counts have shown more than 1,600 vehicles per day travel on Ohio Street exceeding the roadway’s intended capacity, according to the release.
“Engineering’s goal is to bring traffic down to acceptable levels by utilizing the least restrictive and most cost effective strategies while considering the safety, desires, and expectation of the neighborhood,” the release said.
